A couple of years back, Indian players like Micromax, Karbonn etc all were same. Firms like Micromax worked hard, built their brand image and today it is challenging the likes of Samsung. As of today, Micromax is number 2 most successful mobile brand in India. This has prompted other companies to work hard and have given them a ray of hope in the market. One such lesser known smartphone maker is iBall. It produces smartphones, tablets, pen drives and data sticks. The ‘I’ of Iball sounds familiar!
iBall came up with a feature packed phone last month; Andi 5h Quadro. The phone is quite slim at 9.9 mm. It comes with a 5 inch screen having a qHD display. A qHD display is a display which is just below HD one and has a screen resolution of 960X540. Like most of other Indian firms are doing, iBall too has packed in a Quad Core processor in Andi 5h Quadro. It is a Cortex A7 processor with four cores. Each core is capable of clocking a speed of 1.2 Ghz. Cortex A7 processor is minimizes the battery drain. In Andi 5h Quadro, iBall has not compromised with the RAM and the device comes with 1 GB of RAM. Internal memory is 4 GB out of which 2 GB is available to the user. However, you need not worry as memory slot is provided and you can expand storage to 32 GB.
A noteworthy thing is that Andi 5h Quadro comes with 42 Mbps HSDPA. This basically means that the phone is capable of providing high internet speeds. This kind of feature is generally found in high end phones. As of now, Andi 5h Quadro comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1. There are almost no tweaks or modifications and you would get a stock Android experience like the one present in LG Nexus. The phone has a 12 MP snapper with dual LED flash. A front facing 2 MP camera is also present. Gsensor, Proximity sensor and Light sensor are some other notable features of Andi 5h Quadro. Not to forget, iBall has also provided GPS. One prominent omission is NFC(Big brother of Bluetooth).
Overall it is a nice product from iBall. However, most of us hardly know about it. Thanks to the marketing strategy of iBall. The only saving grace are the occasional Kareena Kapoor advertisements. It is a nice strategy they have deployed to popularize their brand. Andi 5h Quadro is available at a price of 10,500 INR and going by the specifications and public reviews it is worth the deal. iBall has priced it smartly and packed in nice features. The phone comes in two colors, white and black.
