Design And Display

ASUS has managed to pull off a wonder here. The back of the Zenfone 2 Deluxe makes it stand out from the crowd. It is an uneven crystalline structure with slight shine.

Performance

What kind of result one can expect with Intel Atom quad core chipset and 4 GB of RAM powering a device? The Zenfone 2 Deluxe is a powerhouse in almost everything you throw at it. The benefit of having 4 GB RAM is that even if you run multiple heavy applications simultaneously, none of them will restart as there is ample room to keep each and every app up and running. Try playing 4 high end games like Modern Combat 5, Nova 3 etc and minimize them. Once you are back to a particular game, you will notice that it will run from the point you minimized it. Also, the phone does not heat up significantly, neither during charging or in normal usage.

For Regular users: The Zenfone 2 Deluxe will run everything you throw at it. There are no random restarts or hang ups.

For Gamers: Again, the phone will run any game you throw at it. 5.5 inhc Full HD display and super processor makes gaming at high graphics a splendid experience.

Camera

This is one area where the Zenfone 2 Deluxe performs better than its brother, the Zenfone 2. The issue in Zenfone 2 is that it renders the image yellowish when the flash is on. This issue has been resolved in the Zenfone 2 Deluxe. The low-light imaging is simply fantastic and beats any other smartphone. The front camera is one of the best in class and clicks awesome selfies.

Battery

A 3000 mAh battery powers up the Zenfone 2 Deluxe. With such a battery, the phone managed to last a day with moderate usage. This included use of GPS, watching video for half an hour, constant messaging and calls. I clicked some images too. This kind of battery uptime is a decent one and you need not worry about the battery backup of the Zenfone 2 Deluxe.

Verdict

You might think that 4 GB RAM too much? Yes, you are right, it is too much. But then it is always good to have more RAM in your device. The Zenfone 2 Deluxe provides exactly that. The price at which it comes makes it a good value for money phone.
