Dell India today launched a series of new tablets. Dell Venue 7 tablet, Dell Venue 8, Dell Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro, these 4 tablets were launched. With the launch of these new tablets, Dell has finally entered the portable PC market. The company is aiming to give a tough competition to the likes of Google and Samsung who are currently doing good in India in the affordable tablet segment. The Dell Venue 7 Tablet is also an affordable device and would cost you Rs 10,999/-

The Dell Venue 7 Tablet is a 7 inch device with a HD display. It is powered up by 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom dual core processor. This processor is coupled with 2 GB of RAM. There is inbuilt storage of 16 GB. This storage can be expanded upto 32 GB by the use of a micro SD card. Also present is Intel HD Graphic card. The Dell Venue 7 Tablet packs in a single cell 4100 mAh battery which is sufficient for a 7 inch tablet. Dell claims that this would give you a non stop usage of 6.8 hours!

Coming to the camera, the Dell Venue 7 Tablet has a 3 MP rear camera and a front facing VGA camera. At 9.5 mm, the tablet is really thin and operates upon Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. It basically works like Google Drive, Skydrive, Box and Dropbox.

The Dell Venue 7 Tablet would collide head on with the Google Nexus 7 2012 tablet which is now available in the market at a super cheap price of Rs 10,000/- It is has been built by Asus and sports a 7 inch display. 1 GB of RAM and a super fast quad core processor power up this device. The primary camera can record HD videos and the tablet operates upon the latest Android operating system, i.e. KitKat 4.4.2. This is the real benefit of owning a Nexus device as you become the first recipient of the latest Android. The Nexus 7 tablet features a slightly larger battery than the Dell Venue 7 Tablet. It stands at 4325 mAh.

The Nexus 7 tablet has already proved its mettle in the market and is still doing good despite the fact that it is now one and a half year old. The Dell Venue 7 packs in nice features and a realistic price. It would be interesting to see whether the name which Dell has earned in the PC market works for it in the tablet market as well.
