Value For Money
When it comes to the battery and the camera front, the iVoomi Me 1 Plus performs decently. However, the build quality is average and so is the performance. Add a thousand bucks to your budget and you can get a better device from some other brands
In the Indian smartphone market, there are many players who are fighting for the pie in the budget segment. iVoomi being the latest entrant. It has come with a Rs 5000 smartphone called the iVoomi Me 1 Plus. I tested the phone for a few days. Let’s see how it performed.
Design and Display
The iVoomi Me1 Plus comes with a plastic body which is of average quality. The good part is that the phone has a separate slot for micro Sd card. This means that the users can pop in 2 SIM cards and a micro SD card at the same time.
The display is a 5 inch HD one. However, the premium factor of a HD screen is missing. On the positive side, the screen has a protection cover on it by default. Do remember that it is not the tempered glass but a regular cover which is still good enough as it is been provided at no extra cost.
The phone sports Spreadtrum quad core processor and 2 GB of RAM. The Antutu benchmark gives the phone a score of 25,465. This is a decent score but the user interface is not zippy and lags. With time, when you will install more and more apps on the phone, it will become slower and the overall experience is not too good. As fasr as gaming is concerned, the iVoomi Me 1 Plus is built for light and some medium gaming. I tried to play a heavy game like Blood and Glory Legend on this device and it crashed everytime.
The phone has a 8 MP rear camera with flash and a 5 MP front facing camera. The camera impressed me and at such a low cost, the phone was able to give good images when the lights were proper. However, the camera suffered when it came to low lights. You can check out the images below. They have come well and for a budget phone, it is a good performance in camera department.
The company decided to put in a 3000 mAh battery under the hood of this phone and it has paid well for the device. The phone easily lasts a day and sometimes more with that kind of the battery. When you open the box, the battery would be there separately and needs to be popped in. The back plate can be removed easily and the battery can be inserted with equal ease.
When it comes to the battery and the camera front, the iVoomi Me 1 Plus performs decently. However, the build quality is average and so is the performance. Add a thousand bucks to your budget and you can get a better device from some other brands.
