Google, in partnership with Huawei, launched the much awaited Nexus 6P in India on the 13th October. This is the first flagship ‘Nexus’ phone manufactured by Huawei. The phone runs the latest Android 6.0 ‘Marshmallow’ out of the box.
Huawei is the second largest smartphone manufacturing brand in the world. This new project with Google is yet another big step for the company. Speaking at the launch, Mr. P. Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei India, said that the company was proud of its association with Google, and they wish to offer an unmatchable experience. The company also hopes at making this collaboration the ‘Perfect Choice’ for the Indian consumers.
The new flagship Nexus 6P dons an elegant, all metal unibody, crafted out of aeronautical grade aluminum. It sports a 5.7” WQHD AMOLED display, with a whopping 518 ppi pixel density. The phone also features front facing stereo speakers, which will make watching videos and playing games a stunning experience. The phone runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor. The phone is powered by a 3450 mAh battery. The device also comes with the latest USB Type-C port, which is guaranteed to give a fast charge.
The phone is also equipped with a powerful 1.55um pixels camera on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front. The rear camera is great for outdoor photography, but also does wonders in low-light conditions, giving sharp and crisp images. It is also capable of recording 4K video and high-rate slow motion videos as well. The camera is snappy, and ensures that you never miss a moment.
The rear of the device also features a fingertip sensor, which will turn on the phone and unlock your apps. The sensor will also work for the Nexus Imprint, which will enable US users quick and easy Android Pay payments.
On the software end, the phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It gives pure stock vanilla experience, with minimal bloatware. This also makes the phone future proof, as it will be amongst the first to receive latest updates from Google.
The phone will be available online through the ‘Big Billion Day’ offers on Flipkart, as well as in offline stores such as Croma, The Mobile Store, Ezone, Reliance Digital etc. The phone comes in with the price of Rs. 39,999 for the 32GB variant and Rs. 42,999 for the 64GB one. The phone comes in two color options- Aluminum and Graphite.
