Sony is one company which has expertise in the audio devices and now it has come up with a similar kind of device – Sony DTH Theatre HT-IV300. The company claims that it is the world’s first home theatre system system which is aimed at the Direct To Home service users in order to enhance their sound experience. This theatre would cost you Rs 19,990 and would be available in the market from the first week of April.
The Sony DTH Theatre HT-IV300 has a power of 1000W and comes with a 5.1 surround sound channel. There is a plug and paly feature which enhances the sound clarity and makes the experience theatre like. The body of the Sony’s theatre is really compact. If you compare it with your normal home theatre system, you would find that it is around 40 percent smaller.
There are a myriad number of connectivity options available in the Sony DTH Theatre HT-IV300 . You can connect the home theatre with your NFC or Bluetooth enabled phone, tablet or a laptop. This is actually one side aspect of the connectivity options available.
Through the two way HDMI port you can connect your television to your DTH set top box while the Sony DTH Theatre HT-IV300 would play the intermediator. This would ensure the picture in sound and tv through the home theatre system. There are three inputs for this purpose – Optical Input 1, HDMI Input 2 and Audio Video In 1.
The good part is that the Sony DTH Theatre HT-IV300 supports a number of formats – MP4, WMV, VOB, MKV, AVCHD and Xvid HD.
You must be thinking whether the Sony DTH Theatre HT-IV300 is compatible with your DTH provider or not! Sony says that their home theatre system can be connected to Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV, Tata Sky, Sun Direct and Big TV. These players cover the majority DTH market in India and chances are that you are using one of these. If you own a set top box from any other company then we would advice you not to go for the Sony DTH Theatre HT-IV300 as it might not be compatible with it.
