Spice Mobiles has recently launched a new Android powered budget smartphone from the company’s Stellar series, named the Spice Stellar 440 for a price tag of Rs. 5,249.
As of now, the device is available for purchase from e-commerce websites for a discounted price of Rs. 4,199. The key specifications of the device are as undermentioned.
The Spice Stellar 440 run on Android 4.4 Kitkat and packs a 4 inch TFT LCD Display supporting a resolution up to 480 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by a dual core processor (unspecified chipset) clocked in at 1 GHz, coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB inbuilt storage (available storage varies), which can be expanded up to 32 GB using Micro SD card.
The device sports a 3.2 MP camera with LED flash on the back, and a 1.3 MP camera on the front. The Spice Stellar 440 comes with a 1400 mAh battery which according to listing on the site, can give up to 144 hours of standby time and up to 4 hours of talk time on 2G. Connectivity suite includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE and Micro USB.
The USP of the Spice Stellar 440 are the dual front-facing speakers and an in-built Analog TV, allowing you to access terrestrial TV channels without any additional hardware specs.
Another interesting news from Spice, is that the company alongside Google recently launched India’s first Android One Hindi smartphone, called the ‘Spice Dream Uno H’ for a price tag of Rs. 6499, specially designed for the 30 Crore Hindi speakers of the country.
The device features a complete Hindi keyboard, along with Hindi version of Google apps such as Chrome, Search, Youtube, Google Maps, Translate and few more.
The dual-sim 3G smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with the promise of future updates to Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, and a 1700 mAh Li-Po battery claimed for a standby time of up to 160 hours and up to 1020 min 2G talk time and up to 620 hours on 3G.
