Samsung had planned to update the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ to the Android 6.0 update in December 2015 but a recent announcement states that for December 2015 only the Galaxy Note 5 would be receiving the update.
Samsung has revised its update schedule and as per the new schedule the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and the Galaxy S6 edge+ will receive the update in January 2016 while the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge will have to wait till February 2016.
The Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will have to wait much longer as its update has been scheduled for April 2016. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is yet to be approved for the update while the Galaxy A and Galaxy E series have been listed under Phase 2 of Samsung’s update schedule.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 and the Galaxy Tab A8 are listed under Phase 3 with the updates still in wait for approval.
Surprisingly the updates of the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 are yet to be approved for receiving the update. It seems that Samsung might take some good time to update the devices, or may be these devices don’t receive an update at all
